Born 1964 in Regina Saskatchewan, I grew up in London and surrounding areas of Southwestern Ontario before moving to British Columbia in 1993. In 1996 I settled in Nanaimo with my Wife and two children. 2010 was the year I rediscovered my childhood passion for photography when I picked up a camera to fill the void that had been left when my children moved onto University.
With no formal photography training my work has grown through self study and a lot of trial and error. My Fine Art Seascape and Landscape work is complemented by my passion for Nature and Wildlife photography.
Vancouver Island offers me endless opportunities with its amazing beauty and abundance of wildlife. You can be assured that when I post wildlife pictures they are that. No short cuts are taken, I spend countless hours locating, studying and behind the camera to capture these pictures as they occur 100% in the wild for your enjoyment.
I recently earned my accreditation in Pictorial/Scenic Photography from the Professional Photographers of Canada and I am currently working on my accreditation in Ornithology Photography as well. The accreditations are only given to Photographers that have met a level of quality and proficiency as determined by a panel of Professional Photographers.
